No Nuisance Safety Switch Tripping.

Local residences have been finding there safety switches tripping for no apparent reason?

All Electrical appliances leak a small amount of electricity and this becomes a Common problem if you have multiple fridges and freezers, Dishwashers, Electric pumps such as pool or water pumps, Home offices with UPS’s Photocopiers, power boards, etc. and the equipment does not need to be operating just plugged in for your safety switch to nuisance trip.

If you find your safety switch tripping and you go and reset it and it stays on, and this happens on a regular pattern such as first thing in the morning, what might be the problem is that your appliances combined in your house on the affected power circuit, might be leaking a small amount of electricity which adds up enough, that combined with a ripple on the power lines caused by Energex switching power substations and heavy industry starting their equipment (up to 20km away) your safety switch trips.

Unfortunately to test for this problem requires very expensive equipment and monitoring which only the power line condition specialist team from Energex can provide or for a more convenient Solution:

Move your electrical equipment to plug into other circuits to balance leakages.

Or Have your Master Electrician split your circuits and add extra safety switches.

Or now you can replace your safety switch with a special G Type Clipsal safety switch which will allow a very short delay of leakage triggered by a very small surge or spike.
